Life Line Screening Returns on September 17
There is a simple, convenient way for you to get preventive health screenings and learn your risk for stroke, heart disease and other chronic conditions. These painless screenings go beyond your regular checkup to identify dangerous plaque buildup or blockage, a major risk factor for stroke and heart disease. We are pleased to host Life Line Screening, who will be on site on 9/17/2019 to conduct these valuable screenings. These 5 vital screenings are offered for only $149 and take 60-90 minutes to complete. If you register today, you will receive a $10 discount. Register by calling toll free 1-888-653-6441, visit, or text the word “circle” to 797979.

Book Group
Book Group will meet again on Wednesday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. We’ll be discussing The Woman in the Window by Dan Mallory. All are welcome!

GEMS: God’s Elegant Mature Servants
We welcome you back to GEMS and hope everyone had an enjoyable summer! Join us on September 26 at 12:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. Carol Bacak-Egbo, Historian and Project Advisor, Oakland County Parks, will talk about a significant historic Oakland County farm. She will end with information on an outhouse pit they tried to locate at the former Niles Tavern in Troy. The menu will be Swedish meatballs, salads, vegetables and desserts. Please see the 2 sign-up sheets on the bulletin board in the narthex; sign up if you plan to attend, and if you would like to bring a dish to pass. We look forward to seeing you and a friend! For more information, please contact Debbie Leafdale or Joyce Jarnick.

Annual Congregational Meeting
Our annual meeting will take place on September 22 right after worship. Please make plans to attend!

MISSION GIVING PROJECT — Presbyterian Ingathering 2019
Please consider contributing to the 2019 Presbyterian Ingathering that supports approximately 35 agencies within the Detroit Presbytery area. Select one or more leaves from the board in the narthex and return each item with the leaf attached and the dollar value written on each leaf by September 29. (All items must be new.) If you would prefer to donate money, see Louise Glazier or Joyce Peterson and they will purchase an item for you. Your generous support is always appreciated.

If you can assist in sorting donations contributed by the participating churches, help is needed at Westminster Presbyterian Church (17567 Hubbell, Detroit, 48235) on October 21, 22, and 23 from 9:00 a.m – 2:00 p.m. On the 23rd they are looking for people willing to deliver the donations to various agencies. If you have any questions, contact Emily Nietering at 313-278-9269.

Movie Morning Returns!
We will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18th (3rd Wednesday of the month, this time only) in the sanctuary to see “A Dog’s Journey”, rated PG adventure, comedy, drama. It’s the story of a dog who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he meets. Stars Josh Gad and Dennis Quaid.
