GEMS: GOD’S ELEGANT MATURE SERVANTS
Join us for GEMS on Thursday, Oct. 24th at 12:00 p.m. The topic will be “Travelogues” with Pastor Jasmine Smart sharing her trip to the Holy Land, Gwen Thompson on her trip to Portugal and Spain, and Mark and Sue Valentine on their travels to Rome. If you plan to attend, please see the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex. The food will be provided so come and bring a friend to enjoy. For more information, please contact Debbie Leafdale or Joyce Jarnick.

Remembering Those Who Have Come Before
Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses……”
As a way to honor our 90 years as a congregation, we have placed notices about some of our members who have passed away on the Fellowship Hall bulletin board. They have set the example for us with their faithful service to our Lord. Please feel free to add a photo or announcement of your deceased loved one who attended this church.

5K Run/Walk at the Kirk!
Sign up to take part in a scenic 5K fall run/walk beginning at Kirk in the Hills. Proceeds benefit Accent Pontiac. To register, visit kirkinthehills.org.

A Proclamation from the City of Troy!
Join us October 21st at 7:30 p.m. at Troy City Council for a prayer and a proclamation from the city celebrating our 90 years of service in the community!

Study Group at UPC
Starting October 23, University Presbyterian will be hosting a four-week series every Wednesday from 5:45-7:30 p.m., called “Feeding Body, Mind and Spirit” and will be discussing the congregational read, “Inspired” by Rachel Held Evans. Pastor Jasmine will be preaching on this on Sunday, November 24, so this is a good way to read and have conversations in community as a way to deepen your discipleship and connection to the Bible.

Thank you!
Today we are dedicating the beautiful Pearl River piano in Fellowship Hall, generously donated by the congregation of the Korean First Presbyterian Church. We are very grateful for this wonderful donation!
