Because of coronavirus concerns across the country, this is a reminder to frequently wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. Use hand sanitizer if handwashing isn’t possible. Consider not shaking hands during Passing of the Peace,
Please check your email for more information about the church response.
Lenten Daily Devotionals
Every day through the season of Lent, please watch your email for a Lenten Daily Devotional from the Kirk. These devotionals are written by members of First Pres Troy, the Kirk, and mission partners of the Kirk, including Hope Against Trafficking, Micah 6 Community, and Pontiac Community Foundation. These devotionals are truly intergenerational, as the writers are teenagers through octogenarians! If you do not receive these emails, please let the office know.
Giving During Lent
During Lent, we will be participating in a food drive for Gleaners, so please consider bringing food items as a Lenten discipline. We are still supporting Troy People Concerned, so consider bringing toiletries for that organization, too.
Date Change: AOK (Acting Out Kids) Murder Mystery at the Kirk
This year’s annual murder mystery production will be held at Kirk in the Hills at the end of April. More information to follow as the exact dates are determined.
Please join us on Wednesday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary to see “Just Mercy” (rated PG-13), starring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan. It’s a drama about a world-renowned civil rights defense attorney who works to free a wrongly condemned death row prisoner.
The trivia contest this month was geared toward geniuses, so I will try to make April’s trivia a tad easier. Ha! Ha! There’s also popcorn.
Come and join us. This is our last movie morning in the Sanctuary for a while. In May, we will go out to a movie and lunch, then take a break in June, July and August.
