Faith in Action Grant Program
The Presbytery of Detroit received an anonymous gift of $350,000 to be disbursed to local churches to use for hands-on mission work. Over the past few weeks, a group of our members worked together and wrote a grant proposal that would allow us to spread our love more abundantly. In the first phase, thirty churches will receive $1000. We are hopeful that we will receive this money so that we may provide people from other cultures with experiences that they would not have had otherwise. A great deal of thanks goes to those who worked on and submitted the grant. We’ll keep you posted!

Lenten Study Schedule
The Lenten Study is now underway! All are welcome to attend any and all of the five half-hour discussions at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings in the west Sunday School room. The schedule of discussions for today and next Sunday are as follows:
March 11: March 4-10 The Prophets and the Teachings of Jesus
March 18: March 11-17 The Prophets and the Teachings of Jesus (cont.)

Troy People Concerned Pasta Dinner
Troy People Concerned will hold its annual Spring Pasta Dinner on Thursday, April 12th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. The dinner will take place at the San Marino Club, 1685 E. Big Beaver Road in Troy. There will be an open buffet, cash bar, 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and more. Please see Marilyn Johnson for tickets. Admission is $20. Children under 10 are $5.

Donate Meat in March for TPC
The Deacons are focusing on one food item this month requested by the Troy People Concerned Food Pantry at St. Anastasia Church. TPC could use canned tuna, canned chicken and canned salmon to give to those who depend on the Pantry food donations. We appreciate your support for this local mission and hope you can bring in one or more cans of Meat in March.

Movie Morning
Join us on Wednesday, March 14th at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary to see “Murder on the Orient Express” rated PG-13 and starring Kenneth Branagh, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench and many others.
When a murder occurs on the train he’s traveling on, celebrated detective Hercule Poirot is recruited to solve the case.
It’s a crime, drama, mystery movie that should hold your interest and as always, there will be trivia (by popular request-ha!) and popcorn.

God’s Elegant Mature Servants
GEMS will be meeting on Thursday, March 22nd at 12:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The speaker will be Heather Glenday from Bordine’s. The topic will be “What going on in your Spring Garden?” The menu for lunch will include sloppy joes, salads, and desserts. If you would like to join us, please sign-up on the two sheets on the bulletin board in the narthex. For more information, please contact Kathy Hyde or Debbie Leafdale.
