Dan Heaton, Pastor

Pastor Dan Heaton joined First Presbyterian Church at Christmastime 2018 and became the church’s lead pastor in the summer of 2020. He previously served churches in Mount Clemens and Howell. Pastor Dan attended seminary at the Ecumenical Theological Seminary Detroit. He holds master’s degrees in divinity, theology and marketing. He is an intentional bi-vocational minister and his full-time job is as a public affairs specialist as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army at the Detroit Arsenal. Pastor Dan’s wife, Kim, is a bookkeeper for two local churches. They have four grown children.


Penny Brady, Bookkeeper

Penny has been a member of this church since she was 10 years old when her parents moved the family to Michigan. She is a graduate of Oakland University. She and her husband, Tim, were married in the church and their two boys, who are now in their 20’s, are also members. An avid runner, she also enjoys biking, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Mary Ann Fischer, Music Director

Mary Ann has joined us as our Music Director. She was an elementary school teacher in Rochester, and her grandmother was a founding member of the church 90 years ago. She brings an extensive music background to our church, and we are so fortunate that she has decided to share her talents with us.
