Deacons’ American Red Cross Blood Drive: Need Volunteers for July 10th
Our next American Red Cross Blood Drive will take place here at the church on Monday, July 10th (1:30pm to 7:30pm). Please see the sign-up sheets posted on the Deacons’ bulletin board (outside of Fellowship Hall) if you wish to donate your time, cookies, or a meal item. Contact Gwen Thompson if you have any questions regarding the blood drive.

Worship with Northminster on July 2nd – and don’t forget the dessert!
As we have done for the previous two years, we
will once again be worshiping with our friends at Northminster on Sunday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Our own pastors Ann and Bill Robertson will be leading us in worship and communion that day. Following worship, please plan to stay for a potluck picnic! Northminster will be providing the meat and the side dishes, as well as water, coffee and lemonade. We are asked to bring desserts. Please see the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex.

Book Group
The book group will be meeting twice this summer. On Wednesday, June 28th we will be discussing The Cat’s Table by Michael Ondaatje, and on Wednesday, August 23rd, Clara and Mr. Tiffany by Susan Vreeland. New readers are always welcome! We will discuss Gone With the Wind on September 27th if enough people read or reread it over the summer–a great read for the summer months!

Summer English Workshop
With just one session left to go, another successful English Workshop is about to come to a close. Last year, when Bill and Ann first came to this church, they were impressed with the participation and enthusiasm for teaching “our friends.” We’ve unfortunately missed most of the sessions this year, but we are thankful for all of them and for those who volunteered their time and talent.

Consecration Sunday
Thank you to all who made our Consecration Sunday a success! We are in the process of developing a budget which will be made available to the congregation after approval by the session. Remember that per capita is paid for the calendar year, not our fiscal year (7/1-6/30). If you have not paid your per capita for 2017, please try to do so in the coming weeks. If you need to check your pledge or per capita status, contact Penny in the church office. Thank you again from the finance committee and session for your generous support.

Family Faith Camp at University Presbyterian Church
UPC is happy to present an exciting new program called Family Faith Camp. The camp will take place August 7-10, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. This intergenerational program will include storytelling, arts and crafts, music, games, woodworking, Bible Time and more. Light Dinner included! We will have a wonderful time banding together in tribes and sharing with others of all ages as we explore heroes of the Bible. This event is for everyone: singles, families, grandparents, youth, etc. Everyone is invited to attend! Please see the bulletin board in the narthex for more information.

The flowers in the sanctuary this morning are in honor of Sharon Goeman’s birthday today. Happy birthday, Sharon!
