Help is Available!
If you ever need a larger print bulletin, please let Penny know!! She is used to making this for Bill. We realize often how difficult it can be for those with sight problems!
Last week a large number of us were able to gather with members from Northminster for worship. This has become a bit of a tradition to come together on or near July 4th. Another reason to celebrate was that Jasmine Smart was with us in the pulpit leading worship with Neeta Nichols. We are excited to welcome Jasmine and Kevin Krawczyk
as staff for new and yet uncharted ministry in collaboration with Kirk in the Hills.
“Bedding For Kids”
The deacons have decided to support a mission project for kids through the Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan. We want to help local children at-risk get a healthy start by supplying much needed bed linens.
Each week the Furniture Bank provides twin beds to more than 15 local children but is not able to supply linens. These kids belong to families who are living in poverty, transitioning from homelessness, working with child protective services or fleeing a crisis and abusive environment. You can help our mission by donating a New Twin Bedding Set, (top sheet, bottom sheet, pillowcase, comforter and sham) for a “Bedding Drive”. Bedding is needed for ages 2-18 years of age.
We will be collecting through the month of August but there is a continuing need; therefore, anytime is greatly appreciated and needed. You can contact Becky Misuraca or Nancy Sisunik for more information if interested in donating.
