Troy People Concerned Welcomes your Pantry Donations
The Deacon holiday donations have been delivered to Troy families in need. However, the TPC Food Pantry continues to offer food, household and personal hygiene items throughout the year to local families who are struggling.
As you shop for food and items you need, please remember to include an item or two for the TPC Food Pantry. Paper products and new, men’s white socks are ALWAYS needed. Thank you for supporting this on-going mission.

Don’t Have e-mail? Help our Deacons to Help You!
Currently, First Presbyterian Church of Troy sends out e-mails to all members to let them know about important updates on members, church services and other announcements. The Deacons understand that some members do not use e-mail to communicate or perhaps don’t always review their e-mail on a regular basis. To ensure we are reaching everyone when there is an important update, the Deacons would like to offer telephone updates for these members at the time the e-mail announcement is sent out to all members. If e-mail is not an available option for you, please contact Penny Brady in the Church Office and provide her your current telephone number. The Deacons will use this information to create a list of members for telephone outreach when there is an e-mail update to all members. Although we would love to call all of our members, we would like to limit this service to those members that are not easily available using e-mail. 
Love, Your Deacons

GEMS: God’s Elegant Mature Servants
GEMS will meet on Thursday, January 25th at noon. Our guest speaker will be Ron Sandison whose talk is entitled “My Amazing Journey of Autism and Faith”. Ron will share his experience and hardship with having autism and writing a nationally published book, “A Parent’s Guide to Autism”. He will also share what it’s like to be married and be a dad having autism.
Ron has a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University. He works full time in the medical field and is a professor of theology at Destiny School of Ministry.

Movie Morning
We have a great movie lined up for our February Movie Morning, “Victoria and Abdul.” We’ve changed the date from Wednesday, February 14th (since that is Ash Wednesday) to Wednesday, February 21st at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
The movie shows how Queen Victoria strikes up an unlikely friendship with a young Indian clerk named Abdul Karim.
Hope you can join us for the movie, trivia and popcorn.

Troy-area Interfaith Group (TIG)
The next TIG meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at 7:00 pm at the Troy Meetinghouse of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints; 2784 E. Square Lake Rd. “Exploring Christian Religions: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints”
will feature representatives of the Mormon community who will share
history, traditions, outreach efforts, and unique opportunities of the faith.
