GEMS: God’s Elegant Mature Servants
Join us for GEMS on January 24th at 11:00 am. After lunch here at the church, we will be going to The Detroit Institute of Arts to watch the film “The 39 Steps” by Alfred Hitchcock (~86 min.) You also have the option to walk around the museum. The menu for lunch will include lasagna, salad and dessert. A bus will pick us up at 12:00 pm at the church. The film will be followed by complimentary coffee and cookies. We will get back on the bus at 3:00 pm to go back to the church. If you plan to attend and if you would like to bring a dish to pass, please see the sign-up sheets on the bulletin board in the narthex. For more information, please contact Debbie Leafdale or Joyce Jarnick.
We hope you can all attend on Sunday, February 3rd, and bring a friend! This is a chance for us to engage in fellowship with one another and meet some new people! Please look for Wayne by the bulletin board in the narthex after the service, let him know you’ll be there, and he’ll put your name on the board!
You may have noticed something new in our sanctuary! Thanks to the generous donation from Mary Ann and Roland Fischer, we now have a grand piano that adds beautifully to the sanctuary. This incredibly generous donation will be celebrated at a date in the near future, along with some information about Mary Ann’s family history with our church! Stay tuned!
