Movie Morning
Join us this Wednesday, February 5th (one week earlier than usual) at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary to see “Judy”. It’s rated PG-13 and is described as a biography, drama, romance. It’s the story of legendary performer Judy Garland as she arrives in London in the winter of 1968 to perform a series of sold-out concerts and stars Renee Zellweger in the title role. Renee has already won Best Actress honors from the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild for this role.

Popcorn and trivia (maybe we will do slogans again since they were such a big hit last time!) are all part of the fun.

Winter Lecture at the Kirk
Come join us on Friday February 21 at 6:30pm for dinner and lecture by Dr. Earl Lewis, founder of University of Michigan’s Social Solutions. He will address issues of diversity. Cost is only $20. Sign up can be found on Kirk’s website under resources and “online registration”, or by calling Wendy, administrative assistant for Christian Formation: 248-847-3421.

GEMS: God’s Elegant Mature Servants
Join us for GEMS on Thursday, February 20th at 12:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Ed Leafdale will be giving a presentation of his vision and the building of Veteran Memorial Pointe in Rochester Hills in 1997. The menu for lunch will include chicken salad and egg salad on croissants, salads, vegetables and desserts. There are two sign-up sheets on the bulletin board in the narthex. Please sign up if you plan to attend, and if you would like to bring a dish to pass. We look forward to seeing you and a friend! For more information, please contact Debbie Leafdale or Joyce Jarnick.

Town Hall on February 9
On February 9 after church we will host a Town Hall discussion in Fellowship Hall. What hopes, dreams, and questions do you have about the future of ministry of our church? Come here for brief reports and updates, and ask your questions and bring up concerns at this event. If you’d like to send Pastor Jasmine questions ahead of time, please email her.

Join together with Northminster and Central Woodward Christian Church for Ash Wednesday services here at Troy. There will be a noon service in Fellowship Hall that will include a soup and bread lunch afterward. There will also be an evening service at 7:00pm that will be held in the sanctuary.
