GEMS: God’s Elegant Mature Servants
Our next GEMS event will take place on February 28th at 12:30 p.m. After lunch here at the church, we will be driving over to the Troy Historic Village to the popular lecture that will take place inside Old Troy Church. Tea and cookies are provided; bring your own teacup and saucer, if you wish, or use their disposable products. The program starts at 2:00 pm and lasts about one hour. Al and David Eicher will share a lecture and visual presentation on Amelia Earhart’s childhood, family life and education, flying experiences, world records and 8 years of adventures in Michigan. The menu for lunch will include Swedish meatballs, salads and desserts. If you plan to attend and if you would like to bring a dish to pass, please see the sign-up sheets on the bulletin board in the narthex. If you and a friend would like to come, I would appreciate if you could sign up before February 18th. The ticket cost is Members: $7.00/person; Non-members: $8.00/person.
