Bulletin Board Ready to Post Your Holiday Greeting Cards
If you would like to post a greeting card to extend Holiday wishes to members and friends in our church family, the small bulletin board on the south, or outer, wall of the Fellowship Hall has been decorated to display them.

“Celebrating 90 Years” Photos Can be Posted for Others To See
Two 90th anniversary bulletin boards have been prepared to receive your photos celebrating our important Anniversary:
The large “Celebrating 90 Years” board in the back hallway and the smaller Fellowship Hall Board near the entrance to the kitchen are ready for you to post photos that you feel bring back memories of years past at First Presbyterian Church of Troy. Push pins are provided at the boards for you to add your photos. Be sure and write your name (and a year) on the back, so we can return them to you.

Advent Devotional Calendars Available Today
This Advent season, we will be using a devotional calendar called God Lifts the Lowly that features paintings and poems created by Andrew Weatherly, a young Presbyterian man born with Down Syndrome. Three discussions of the readings and your reaction to them will be hosted today, December 16, and 23 from 11:30 – 12:15. Pick up a treat from Coffee Hour and join us in the west Sunday School room

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Please join Pastor Jasmine for our annual Christmas Eve service on Monday, December 24th at 5:00 p.m.

Mission — Bring Him A Gift (Christmas)
Our Church will be providing Christmas gifts for three local families in need. If you have taken one or more tags from the Bring Him A Gift Board in the Narthex, please keep the tag and attach it to your wrapped gift. This will enable us to make sure each gift has the right person’s name and it goes to the proper family. Please note on the tag the fair market value of the item you purchased, as we will need to report to Presbytery the dollar amount we donated.

Please return your wrapped gift(s) with the tag(s) from the board attached and estimated value(s) by no later than December 16. We will be delivering gifts to the families that Sunday after Church. Thank you in advance for helping make someone’s Christmas brighter. ~Mission Committee – Deacons

Movie Morning at Emagine Theater
Movie Morning is Wednesday, December 12. We will meet at the Emagine Theater in Rochester Hills (behind Best Buy). The show time is 10:30AM. We will be seeing “Instant Family” starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne. It is about a couple who find themselves in over their heads when they adopt three children. It is rated PG-13 and is a comedy, drama. After the movie we will go over to Olive Garden for lunch. Hope you can join us. Please tell Ruth or Kathy if you are able to come to lunch. That will give us an idea for seating at the restaurant.

Hat and Mitten Tree
Please remember to bring hats and mittens to place on the tree in the narthex this season! All of the items will be taken to COTS, Coalition on Temporary Shelter in Detroit. Your donations are always appreciated!

Christmas Joy Offering: Helping Church Leaders-Past, Present and Future
Today you will find an insert and an envelope for the Christmas Joy offering. “By giving to the Christmas Joy Offering, you honor this gift by providing assistance to current and retired church workers in their time of need and developing our future leaders at Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color.” This is one of four annual offerings approved by Session to be collected throughout the year for the Presbyterian Church USA.
