Coffee Hour September 16
Our coffee/fellowship hour on September 16th will be hosted by Megan Ray with the help of her mom Kelly and grandmother. All donations for that coffee hour will be given to Megan for her chosen charity. Megan is planning to donate to Hart Middle School in Rochester Hills for their butterfly garden.
As always, these coffee hour moneys are used by the deacons for their mission work. The Deacons are excited to support Megan, one of our young church members, in her mission to help in the community.
We always appreciate our congregation and their generous hearts.

“Bedding For Kids”
The deacons have decided to support a mission project for kids through the Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan. We want to help local children at-risk get a healthy start by supplying much needed bed linens.
Each week the Furniture Bank provides twin beds to more than 15 local children but is not able to supply linens. These kids belong to families who are living in poverty, transitioning from homelessness, working with child protective services or fleeing a crisis and abusive environment. You can help our mission by donating a New Twin Bedding Set, (top sheet, bottom sheet, pillowcase, comforter and sham) for a “Bedding Drive”. Bedding is needed for ages 2-18 years of age. We will be collecting through the month of August but there is a continuing need; therefore, anytime is greatly appreciated and needed. You can contact Becky Misuraca or Nancy Sisunik for more information if interested in donating.
Thank you! Your Deacons

Movie Morning
Yes, that’s right! It’s that time again for Movie Morning! Because Ruth and I are going to be out of town on our regular movie day (second Wednesday), we have made the “executive decision” to move Movie Morning from the 12th of September to the 19th.

We will meet in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, September 19th at 10:00 a.m. to view “Coco.” It’s an animated adventure comedy about aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, who enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer. It is truly a delightful movie and won an Oscar last year for best animated film and also won an Oscar for best song, “Remember Me”!

Make plans to join us for the movie, popcorn and trivia!

-Pastor Jasmine is preaching at the Kirk on September 2nd at 9:15 in the final garden service of the year, and at 11am in the sanctuary.

-As part of our relationship with Kirk in the Hills, we would like to host a small group in the Troy area open to participants from both churches. We are looking for someone to host the group in your home, and a second person to agree to facilitate. This will be a five-week series starting October 7, but we are finalizing plans now as we gear up for the fall, so if you are interested or have any questions, please contact Jasmine. Thanks!
