Special prayers for so many in our congregation who are facing especially difficult medical problems. Let us remember them and others in our daily prayers.
On Wednesday, August 23rd, we will be discussing Clara and Mr. Tiffany by Susan Vreeland. New readers are always welcome! We will discuss Gone With the Wind on September 27th if enough people read or reread it over the summer–a great read for the summer months!
The Fall Lessons Theme for Sunday School lessons will be: God desires us to have what we need. We will be studying the life of David from boyhood to King. Note the CE bulletin board in the back hallway to see David slay the giant Goliath and how God gave him what he needed.
The Fall dates for Sunday School will be:
October 8th and 22nd
November 12th and 19th
The flowers in the sanctuary this morning are given by Nancy and Bill Sisunik, in honor of their anniversary! Happy anniversary!
Strategic Planning Committee
A lot of information was presented on August 13th regarding options for the future of our church. If you have questions, comments, or if you need more information on anything you heard, please contact anyone on the committee, or send an email to the church (firstname.lastname@example.org) and let us know. We will have more time to discuss the information at our Annual Meeting of the Congregation on Sunday, September 10th. However, if you have questions before then, we encourage you to submit them prior to that date so they may be compiled and presented in a meaningful way at that meeting.
Also, please contact anyone on the committee if you are interested in being a part of the Strategic Planning Committee. More people and ideas are always welcome!
