A big thank you to all who contributed to this year’s school backpacks and supplies for families in need in Troy. We took 7 backpacks complete with required supplies to Troy People Concerned for their Back to School Event. Thank you for your generosity.
TPC Pantry Requesting Back-to-School Lunch Items and Personal Staples
If you would like to add an item or two to your shopping list for the Troy People Concerned Pantry, the following items have been suggested:
Canned meats, peanut butter, jelly, and crackers in the box or small, individual snack packages are priority items.
In addition, any personal hygiene items, even dollar store sizes, and paper products are welcomed donations for the people who are served with this mission. We thank you for your generosity, and note the white sock multi-packs especially.
Life Line Screening Returns on September 17
There is a simple, convenient way for you to get preventive health screenings and learn your risk for stroke, heart disease and other chronic conditions. These painless screenings go beyond your regular checkup to identify dangerous plaque buildup or blockage, a major risk factor for stroke and heart disease. We are pleased to host Life Line Screening, who will be on site on 9/17/2019 to conduct these valuable screenings. These 5 vital screenings are offered for only $149 and take 60-90 minutes to complete. If you register today, you will receive a $10 discount. Register by calling toll free 1-888-653-6441, visit www.lifelinescreening.com/communitycircle, or text the word “circle” to 797979.
This morning we welcome Sarang Kang back to our pulpit. She is a global nomad having lived in Korea, Thailand, and Scotland before she was a teenager. She came to the US to go to Princeton Theological Seminary and continues in her nomadic way, having served in churches in New Jersey, Michigan, and Arkansas.
