Annual Reports Due
Thank you to those who have submitted their annual reports! If you were a committee chairperson anytime between the months of January 2016 and June 2017, please submit your reports to Penny in the office by August 20th. The Annual Meeting of the Congregation will take place on September 10, 2017.

Troy Community Chorus Seeks Singers
Do you love to sing? The TCC is always looking for new talent! Our members come from all over the Metro Detroit area and there are no requirements to live in Troy to join. We sing a large variety of music and always have something for everyone.

Our next season starts Tuesday, September 12th, 2017! Registration will continue through October 3rd. Rehearsals are held every Tuesday, 7:30-9:30 pm in the Chorus room at Troy Athens High School located at 4333 John R. Rd., Troy, MI 48085. Individual membership is $35 or $60 per couple per season.

For more information about the chorus and how to join, contact our Membership Chairperson, Bob Darwood, or 248-905-3499.

Troy People Concerned Food Pantry
So far this summer, our congregation has contributed generously to the CE Cereal for Summer and the Deacon Backpack collections. Now, let us once again remember the TPC Food Pantry, a local food source for those in need. Below are the items that the TPC Food Pantry lists as current needs, but any non-perishable food and paper, cleaning, or personal hygiene products are welcome… even the motel size shampoos etc.

Thank you for your continued support of this local mission.

Canned meats
Cleaning products (small sizes from dollar store are fine.)
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Laundry soap

Book Group
The book group will be meeting later this summer. On Wednesday, August 23rd, we will be discussing Clara and Mr. Tiffany by Susan Vreeland. New readers are always welcome! We will discuss Gone With the Wind on September 27th if enough people read or reread it over the summer–a great read for the summer months!

Mark Your Calendar with these Upcoming Events:

*In response to today’s presentation, a follow-up discussion will be held on September 10th at our Annual Meeting of the Congregation. This will include a panel discussion with time for written questions. In the meantime, please feel free to send any questions for discussion on that day to the church email.
